Multiplicative Principle.

The multiplicative principle states that if event \(A\) can occur in \(m\) ways, and each possibility for \(A\) allows for exactly \(n\) ways for event \(B\text{,}\) then the event “\(A\) and \(B\)” can occur in \(m \cdot n\) ways.
